About Quiltcore Patterns
Welcome to my corner of the quilting world — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Glynis, the designer behind these cheeky, modern foundation paper piecing (FPP) patterns.
By day, I’m an engineer. By night (and most weekends), I’m surrounded by trimmed threads and tiny template scraps, drafting new ideas and testing color combos.
Quiltcore started as a creative outlet and quickly became a way to share the kinds of patterns I wanted to see more of: graphic, modern, and a little unexpected.
Why Foundation Paper Piecing?
Because I hate precutting my fabric! Just kidding. Mostly.
My goal is to create patterns that make impressive quilts without being intimidating. Whether you’re newer to FPP or have been quilting for years, I want you to feel confident opening one of my PDFs.
Each pattern includes:
Clear, tested assembly diagrams
Printable templates
Thoughtful construction order
Detailed instructions (no mystery steps)
I know how satisfying it is to see your vision come together — and how frustrating it is when instructions leave you hanging. I try to design patterns that help you make quilts with love, not your seam ripper.
The Creative Side
I’m drawn to bold ideas, graphic illustration, and subjects that put a twist on the traditional. I believe the pattern itself should feel as thoughtfully designed as the quilt it creates.
When I’m not quilting, I’m probably drafting the next design, reorganizing my fabric stash, or endlessly re-ironing something that should have been pressed properly the first time.
Thanks for being here and supporting a small business. If you ever have questions, ideas, or want to share your finished projects, I’d love to see them.
Happy quilting.
— Glynis
